About Us

Fugitive Films was founded by Jamie Gordon and Courtney Potts in 2005 after they ran the Development Department of GreeneStreet Films in New York City for six years. They have produced and developed multiple award-winning feature film, documentary and television projects.

Their documentary projects, Emmy-winning “Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide” and “A Path Appears,” based on the bestselling books by Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, premiered on PBS and were distributed worldwide by Fremantle Media, reaching more than 40 million people. The two docuseries uncover the harshest forms of gender-based oppression and human rights violations, and feature celebrity advocates including America Ferrara, Jennifer Garner, Ashley Judd, Diane Lane, Blake Lively, Eva Longoria, Eva Mendes, Meg Ryan, Gabrielle Union, Olivia Wilde and Alfre Woodard.

Fugitive is currently completing "A Boston (R)Evolution," a documentary feature about the recent Boston mayoral race, executive produced by Emmy-winning actress Uzo Aduba and Peabody Award winner Sam Pollard, and recently produced the indie comedy “Humor Me,” starring Elliott Gould, Jemaine Clement, and Ingrid Michaelson, dubbed “one of the most overlooked films of 2018” by the LA Times. Fugitive also produced “Coach,” starring Hugh Dancy, and Michael Ian Black’s MGM comedy “Wedding Daze,” starring Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher. In conjunction with Elizabeth Banks’ online platform Whohaha, Fugitive produced YouTube’s NYC Women in Comedy series.  Fugitive has produced a number of independent films and currently has film/TV projects in development with ITV, Samantha Bee, CBS Studios, PBS, among others. At GreeneStreet Films, Gordon and Potts developed Oscar-nominated “In the Bedroom” and produced award-winning “Pinero” and box-office hit “Swimfan.”  Gordon also co-produced “A Love Song for Bobby Long,” which earned a Golden Globe nomination for Scarlett Johansson.  Gordon is an Adjunct Professor at NYU Tisch and is on the Board of Directors of Reel Works, a Brooklyn-based non profit that introduces underserved youth to careers in the film industry.
